People excited about playing Song of Memories on a console are going to have to wait a little longer. PQube has revealed a delay. Instead of appearing in 2018 as originally planned, it will now launch in 2019.

The full statement blamed “unexpected development issues” and not “platform holders” like Nintendo or Sony. Here is PQube’s full explanation and apology.

We are very sorry to announce that Song of Memories will be delayed to 2019. While we had hoped to bring you the game this year, we have seen unexpected development issues that are not related in any way to the platform holders. We are doing our best to bring you the game as early as possible and we will communicate a release date in the new year.

In Song of Memories, players follow a young man in a world where an infection is spreading among women and making them violent. You’ll be able to get close to the heroines, while also helping them participate in musical battles to fight back against the infected. Perhaps you can find love while also learning the truth about this disease.

Song of Memories is immediately available for the PC.
