Bandai Namco shared the latest batch of screenshots and information for its upcoming open-world action game One Piece: World Seeker with a look at Luffy’s Gear Fourth ability, the skill system, mysterious robots, more.
Gear Fourth: Boundman
As you progress through the game you’re able to transform with Gear Fourth. You can freely transform into Gear Fourth while out on the field to gain destructive power. However, just like in the anime this transformation doesn’t last forever.
One of the big perks of going Gear Fourth is the ability to travel by air.
The Gomu-Gomu no Kong Organ is one of Luffy’s Gear Fourth abilities.
Here are some more screenshots featuring Luffy:
Luffy Growth System
After defeating enemies and clearing missions you’ll get skill points used for the Luffy Growth system. You can branch out the skill trees to fit your play style to make a Luffy that is better at movement speed or one that is better at stealth-fighting, or even a Luffy that is built to run head first into action.
You can use the skill tree to learn various Gomu-Gomu abilities. These skills aren’t limited to combat as there are some that help for exploring. There are plenty of skills to look for that can suit your style.
There are mysterious “Battle Robots” you’ll encounter in Jail Island that are said to be unlike any other enemy in previous One Piece games. They’re mysterious robots that resemble the warden Isaac’s armor.
These mysterious robots gradually appear in Jail Island and bring about a threatening aura. They attack with machine guns, bombs, and all kinds of attacks.
Lastly, here’s a look at a Battle Costume for Luffy that comes as a bonus with the digital version of the game:
