Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is without a doubt breaking sales records around the world, but one of the first to be revealed is the United Kingdom, where it charted with a strong #1 in weekly sales. [Thanks, gamesindustry.]

According to the latest sales report from the UK, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has broken franchise records to become this week’s #1. It has topped both Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee to become the fastest-selling Nintendo Switch game as well.

In comparison to previous entries of the series, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate’s launch sales are 302% higher than that of Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and about 233% higher than Super Smash Bros. for 3DS in the UK. Its launch sales are also 62.5% higher than Super Smash Bros. Brawl’s debut on the Wii in June 2008 to become the fastest-selling Super Smash Bros. game in the franchise’s UK history.

It’s also worth noting that the sales only include physical numbers, so it doesn’t include digital download figures from the eShop.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is now available worldwide for the Nintendo Switch.
