Sega has brought one of Sonic Adventure 2’s most recognizable songs back for Halloween 2018. Back on October 26, 2018, the official Sonic the Hedgehog Twitter account asked if people needed a Pumpkin Hill 10-Hour Mix, with only two options saying “Yes” being the possible response. Since people voted “Yes,” the song, which features a rap from Hunnid-P and music from Tomoya Ohtani, now exists.

For those who maybe missed Sonic Adventure 2 or are unfamiliar with Pumpkin Hill, “A Ghost’s Pumpkin Soup” has a… reputation. It’s introduction, “You know me, the fighting freak Knuckles, and we’re at Pumpkin Hill. You ready?” is immediately recognizable and serves as a warning of things to come. (Basically, some people may consider this more of a “trick” than a “treat.”)

Here is the Pumpkin Hill 10-Hour Mix.

It is not uncommon for companies to reference Sonic Adventure 2’s Pumpkin Hill at Halloween. In 2016, Arby’s offered a callback to it.

Sonic Adventure 2 is available for the DreamCast, GameCube, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.
