Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has updated its Smash Blog over the course of this week with short intros to Luigi, Palutena, Cloud, Ditto, as well as a second arrangement from the Castlevania series.

#61 Cloud

He’s the protagonist of Final Fantasy VII. You can also select his Advent Children outfit. Charging up his Limit Gauge increases his special move abilities! Land a powerful hit!

#54 Palutena

With her wings and staff, this goddess’s attacks cover a wide range. With her up smash, neutral special, and side special, she can create a ranged attack in almost every direction except for directly beneath her! Keep the pressure on your opponents from a distance with ranged attacks!

#09 Luigi

He can jump higher than his brother, Mario. His Up Special, Super Jump Punch, will gain maximum damage and launching power when hitting the opponent right at the start. It truly is a “Special” move. He also uses his new Poltergust for his throw!

Ditto – New Assist Pokémon

Ditto will transform into the fighter who threw the Poké Ball when joining the fight. After the transformation, Ditto will have the exact same abilities as the original fighter!

Green Hill Zone – Returning Stage

The concave landscape and blue Point Marker are iconic to this stage. A Point Marker will twirl when the ball is hit, dealing damage to anyone nearby. The ground can collapse after attacking it, so be careful!

Lost Painting – New Arrangement

You can now listen to “Lost Painting” from Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. Doesn’t it resurrect memories of obtaining the Crissaegrim in the game? This version is an arrangement by Tetsuya Shibata from Unique Note. Give it a listen using headphones, too!

Arrangement supervisor: Tetsuya Shibata (known for work on Monster Hunter series, Devil May Cry series, Darkstalkers series, and Power Stone series)
