In Splatoon and Splatoon 2, Nintendo always makes up groups of in-world bands that provide the music for Turf Wars and such. For the Splatoon 2 4.0 update, a new band is providing two new tracks for people to enjoy. It is called SashiMori.
SashiMori used to be a hard rock band. However, their sound changed after the group broke up, then got back together with the founding members and 10-year-old Octoling DJ. There is definitely still a rock edge to the songs, but now there are influences from other genres mixed in.
This is SashiMori’s “Champon Chant.”
This is SashiMori’s “Entropical.”
The English name for SashiMori has not yet been revealed. The groups can change between the Japanese and English localizations. Chirpy Chips, the Splatoon series’ chiptune band, is known as ABXY in Japan. However, the song names might remain the same in all regions, since they are in katakana.
Splatoon 2 is available for the Nintendo Switch.
