Nintendo provided an update for its upcoming Switch online service, and while we don’t have an exact date yet we can expect to see it launch sometime in the second half of September.

The Nintendo Switch Online membership will include access to online play in compatible titles, starting with Splatoon 2, ARMS, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Mario Tennis Aces, and more.

Players will also get a selection of classic NES games with newly added online play. Moreover, subscribers will have easy access to Save Data Cloud Backup. This will make it easier to retrieve game data should you lose your system or start using a new one.

As previously reported, the Switch Online service comes with individual membership pricing of $3.99 for a month, $7.99 for three months, or $19.99 for 12 months. There’s also a family membership of 12 months for $34.99 that allows up to eight Nintendo Account holders to take advantage of the service.
