We recently learned about some of the new content that is headed to SaGa: Scarlet Grace’s updated version on PS4, Switch and PC. Here’s a new trailer along with a mention on the PS Vita update.
As previously detailed, the updated version of the RPG, titled SaGa Scarlet Grace: Scarlet Ambition in Japan, will add three new characters with Camellia, Savitt, and Poet. The four main characters in Urpina, Leonardo, Thalia, and Balmante will also come with new voices.
Speaking with Dengeki PlayStation, series creator Akitoshi Kawazu was asked if there are any plans to update the PS Vita version of the game and he responded with the following:
“We’re designing [SaGa Scarlet Grace: Scarlet Ambition] for new platforms, so moving it to the PS Vita is difficult. First we’ll expand on consoles and smartphones and from there we’ll consider if there’s anything we can do on PS Vita.”
In addition to the new voices, the game comes with improved graphics, a party composition function, new story elements written by creator Akitoshi Kawazu, new battle content for advanced players, loading time reduction, movement speed increase, and plenty of other extra options such as being able to change enemy power.
The above is a look at the box art of the standard edition of the game on PS4 and Nintendo Switch. It’ll be available for 5,800 yen plus tax along with the PC version which will be digital only. The game will also release for smartphones at 4,444 yen plus tax.
As for the Limited Box version, it’ll be available exclusively through the Japanese Square Enix e-Store for 19,980 yen on PS4, Switch, and PC.
It comes with the following:
A 352-page special art book by Tomomi Kobayashi.
A special Sound Selection CD featuring various tracks from SaGa: Scarlet Grace containing about 15 to 20 tracks.
A 1,000-piece jigsaw puzzle.
The Limited Box also includes a code for the PC browser game Imperial SaGa and an original postcard with an illustration by Tomomi Kobayashi.
SaGa: Scarlet Grace is available on PlayStation Vita in Japan. It’ll release on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, PC, iOS, and Android on August 2, 2018.
