We previously reported that Xenogears is getting a 20th anniversary concert this April in Japan, but those of you who can’t make it can still pick up its “Original Soundtrack Revival Disc” releasing April 4 in Japan.
Square Enix shared on its official website that Xenogears will get a special Blu-ray Disc Music in the Xenogears Original Soundtrack Revival Disc –the first and the last- which will be available for 5,500 yen plus tax.
To be more specific, the special disc is a complete remaster of all of the original Xenogears music in 96khz/24bit high-resolution audio on a Blu-ray Disc. It not only contains the music but also screencaps from the original game to give you some visuals. The disc also includes the MP3 files for your convenience.
For those of you interested in learning more about the concert led by composer Yasunori Mitasuda, it will be performed by the Ahnenerbe Orchestra –Xenogears Concert Special Band & Orchestra-, with special guests Joanne Hogg and ANÚNA. You can read more about that here.
Xenogears first launched in Japan in February 11, 1998 for PlayStation. The game released in North America on October 20, 1998.
