We recently learned that the first Utawarerumono game is getting a PS4 and PS Vita remake, and Aquaplus president Naoya Shimokawa had more to share for the series in this week’s issue of Famitsu magazine. [Thanks, Ryokutya2089.]

According to President Shimokawa, Auapluis is currently working on three or four Utawarerumono games. One of them is codenamed UTZ, and it is the series’ first action game that we can expect to get announced sometime this spring.

Shimokawa said that he hopes UTZ can open the gates for Utawarerumono and have it be played by as many people possible.

And fans who enjoy the story of the series won’t have to worry, as Aquaplus is working on a new title that will be packed with scenario. The scenario writers from Mask of Truth and Mask of Deception are also working on the game. At the moment Aquaplus is working on upgrading the graphics for this title, which is being made with more budget from the company than any title before it.

One of the new titles is the Utawarerumono remake that will have all-enhanced HD scenes and opening movie, a “Special Extended Mode” and improved music with 3D battles. Read more about it in our previous report.
