Attack on Titan 2: Future Coordinates was previously confirmed to have Danganronpa mascot Monokuma show up as part of a collaboration. New screenshots and new information have been shown off about the upcoming Nintendo 3DS title, detailing how the character fits into the game.
Monokuma will appear as part of the game’s extra missions, where players will need to cut down different kinds of Monokuma, ranging from 3m to 60m sizes. Monokuma will be voiced by TARAKO, as per the series, and players can obtain a Monokuma costume after beating all the missions.
Players will be able to use character models and voices of characters from Season 2 of the Attack on Titan anime through the character edit feature. If players have save data from Attack on Titan: Humanity in Chains or Attack on Titan: Humanity in Chains – CHAIN, they can unlock the models of characters from the side story Attack on Titan: No Regrets.
Base Missions and Birthday Missions:
On the world map, ‘Sudden Base Missions’ can occur. Finishing all regular quests will unlock the ‘Urgent Base Mission,’ which can net players new blueprints for building their base.
There are also ‘Birthday Missions’ which occur on the birthdays of the various Attack on Titan characters. There are over 20 of these, and beating them unlocks a special voice clip for that character.
Attack on Titan 2: Future Coordinates is set to release in Japan on November 30, 2017 for the Nintendo 3DS.
