Level-5’s fourth cross-media project, The Snack World, was expected to release this April in Japan for smartphone, but the company has stealth-delayed it to December 2017. [Thanks, Hachima.]

No further information was shared and Level-5 didn’t make a statement about the delay, but the official website now has a December 2017 release for the upcoming game on smartphone. The 3DS version of the game is still scheduled for its July 2017 release.

In addition to The Snack World, Level-5 is also working on Megaton Musashi, their fifth cross-media project that was announced at Level-5 Vision 2016, and that one is slated for launch in Summer 2017. Perhaps they bit a little more than they can chew and need some more time to put everything together.

In any case, we’ll wait to see what happens with both The Snack World and Megaton Musashi, although we might have to wait until Level-5 Vision 2017 to learn more about the two projects. Let’s not forget that they also have the new Inazuma Eleven going on, and Ni no Kuni II, so they definitely have their hands tied by the looks of it.

The Snack World is in development for Nintendo 3DS and smartphone.
