Bandai Namco released the latest trailer for Super Robot Wars V following its special event. The video is a pretty lengthy one that gives us a look at a bunch of action from familiar faces and mecha.

After almost eight minutes of sweet scenes from a variety of series, we’re introduced to some game system elements at the 7:50 mark of the video. Since there’s quite a bit that goes on, I’ll provide a short summary of all the parts that are shown in the video for this segment. It starts with the “Beginners Mode” that is basically a low-difficulty mode made for beginners.

The next part shows the “Skill Route” system that allows you to use TacP (TacPoint) acquired from defeating enemies that is shared with allied units to obtain useful skills and more. The “Skill Program” is where you’ll set the skills gained from the Skill Route. Pilots can have up to 30 skills. “Extra Action” is a system that lets you consume ExC (Extra Count) that you get from battle in order to do things such as increase individual units with mobility, ensure critical hits, and so on.

“Extra Order” is similar to Extra Action, but it’s for ships. It also uses ExC, and allows you to use commands that raise pilot spirit and more. And finally, at the 9:15 mark, we get to see some of the “Unit Special Abilities” that range from increasing allied unit attacks to decreasing enemy accuracy.

Super Robot Wars V releases in Japan and also Asia with English subtitles on February 23, 2017 for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita.
