Super Mario Run Becomes The Top-Downloaded App In The United States Just Seven Hours After Launch

Super Mario Run has only been out for just over a day, and Nintendo’s latest mobile game is already performing quite well in numerous countries around the world. Gamesbeat has reported that the side-scrolling auto-runner, which has been demonstrated numerous times by Shigeru Miyamoto to be playable with one hand, has already become the top-downloaded app in 62 countries. It hit the number one spot in the United States only 7 hours after being released.

 

Aside from being the top-grossing app in United States, it also achieved that title in other regions such as Germany, the Netherlands, Mexico, Guatemala, and Colombia.

 

Super Mario Run is available for iOS and is scheduled to release for Android devices sometime in 2017.
