Valkyria: Azure Revolution’s Brunhild, the game’s villain and Valkyria known for her massive… scythe, got in on some action in Sega’s latest gameplay video.
We previously got to watch the two gravure idols Yuka Kuramochi and Saki Yoshida take on a quest that involved making their own party. This time, they were put to the challenge of taking on Brunhild, the Valkyria who wields a giant scythe. The only thing they were told prior to going up against her was to simply beat her.
After getting beat to a pulp, the two call on director Takeshi Ozawa for some help. He provides a little hint saying that the fight against the Valkyria involves Brunhild switching up her elemental attribute, so in order to do well against that it’ll require you to switch up your character accordingly.
When it looks like Brunhild is about to do a powerful attack, you have two choices: you can make a run for it and pray that you don’t get hit, or you can face your fears and aim to cancel it out with your own attack. It’s also important to customize using Ragnites for various beneficial effects that can help out.
And finally, Ozawa says just like you would in any RPG, if things are looking way too tough then you can always go level up a little and go back for a rematch. The idols do some grinding and customizing, and you can watch them go back for the rematch at the 5:08 mark of the video.
Valkyria: Azure Revolution releases in Japan on January 19, 2017 for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita. You can also check out our earlier report to check out the latest on the game’s battle system.
