Level-5 announced in the latest issue of CoroCoro that they’re releasing a third version of Yo-kai Watch 3 with the “Sukiyaki” version in Japan on December 15, 2016 for Nintendo 3DS. [Thanks, Game Memo.]

When Yo-kai Watch 2 released in Japan in July 2014 with their Head and Founder versions (Bony Spirits and Fleshy Souls in the West), they released the third version of the game in Headliner in December of that year.

It looks like Yo-kai Watch 3 will follow in the same steps, with the new Sukiyaki version joining as the third one to go with Yo-kai Watch 3: Sushi & Tempura. While no other details were shared in CoroCoro, we can expect to hear more about it in the near future.

Similar to what Level-5 did with Yo-kai Watch 2, the Sushi and Tempura versions will get an update when Sukiyaki releases, although no other details were shared as to what kind of content we’ll see in the update.

On a rather entertaining note, it’s pretty funny seeing how a lot of Japanese fans on Twitter not only guessed that a third version was on the horizon, but many also guessed the Sukiyaki name.
