People using Miitomo will find quite a few references to Metroid in the game this weekend. An event celebrating the series has begun, with new clothing items being made available for Miis in the Miitomo Shop and Miitomo Drop, as well as on My Nintendo. Logging in to the game before September 15, 2016 gives you a free 8-bit Samus shirt.

Four Metroid Miitomo rewards are now on My Nintendo. Everyone can get a free Metroid hat for their Mii. People with Platinum Points can spend 50 on a Metroid Prime: Federation Force mech suit helmet, 50 on the Federation Force mech suit body, and 200 on a Metroid logo tee. Redeeming any of these items immediately sends it to the Miitomo account linked to your My Nintendo account. All four will be available via My Nintendo until September 15, 2016.

Miitomo’s Miitomo Shop has a Samus emblem pin available. It’s 1,080 coins and is available in six different colors.

Finally, two Metroid Miitomo Drop machines are available in Miitomo until September 15, 2016. The Bounty Hunter Samus one has Samus’ Power Suit body, Power Suit helmet, a t-shirt, and a Ridley that will cling to your Mii’s back. The Zero Suit Samus machine has a Samus wig, Zero Suit, swimsuit, and Baby Metroid. One play costs one game ticket or 500 coins.

Miitomo is immediately available for Android and Apple iOS devices.
