Following the previous look at Rathalos and Barioth, Capcom shared three new videos for Otomon monster buddies for Monster Hunter Stories. Today we get a look at Yian Kut-Ku, Azuros, and Stygian Zinogre.
Yian Kut-Ku is able to break cracked rocks to create new paths as part of its Ride Action. Its Active Skill is a fireball attack that deals fire elemental damage. The Bond Attack you see is called “Reverse Ball,” and it looks kind of mean of the Rider, but oh well, it’s an Yian Kut-Ku.
Azuros’ Ride Action makes it so that you can find Honey nodes on the map. Its Active Skill is called “Honey Power,” which increases its health by eating its favorite food, honey. The Bond Attack at the end is called “Shake Hunt Claw.”
And finally, the Zinogre Subspecies. The video has it listed as Zinogre Subspecies, but we all know that it’s Stygian Zinogre, so we’ll go with that. Its Ride Action allows for giant jumps to go over cliffs. Its Active Skill uses Dragonblight to increase Dragon attack and accuracy. The Bond Attack you see at the end is called “Cross High Volt.”
Monster Hunter Stories will release in Japan on October 8, 2016 for Nintendo 3DS. Check our earlier reports for a look at videos for Lagombi, Brachydios, Lagiacrus, Zinogre, Qurupeco, Aptonoth, Rathian, Khezu, Tigrex, Nargacuga, Tigrex, and Barioth.
