Square Enix provided an updated release window for Nier: Automata at E3 2016. Previously, the PlayStation 4 game was expected to appear in 2016. It will now be released in 2017.

The E3 2016 Nier: Automata trailer has been released and you can watch it above.  In it, we see 2B and 9S, members of the YoRHa automated infantry squad, explore the world and fight some machine lifeforms. The footage actually begins with the two androids leaping into a theater to fight a machine lifeforms resembling an opera singer.

 

Nier: Automata is currently in development for the PlayStation 4.
