Compile Heart shared a new trailer for their upcoming PS Vita dungeon crawler Godly Prison Tower: Mary Skelter, showing us its “Nightmare of Madness” with a look at some new gameplay footage.

Godly Prison Tower: Mary Skelter is a dungeon crawler where your goal is to escape from the living prison called Jail. The trailer introduces us to the “Nightmare,” prison guards that massacre enemies that attempt to invade the prison.

Unlike regular enemies that move alongside your steps in the dungeon, the Nightmares will charge at you in real-time, bringing a new meaning of “fear” while exploring dungeons.

The video also gives us a look at some of the basics of battle. Hitting enemy weaknesses with skills can result in an “Overkill” which brings out plenty of blood from the enemies. When a heroine gets covered with enough blood, they can enter a “Genocide Mode” transformation, which is like a power up. They can also lick the blood off each other to activate powerful “Soul Blood Skills.”

And finally, there’s a feature called the “Blood Skelter Mode.” When the Blood-Type Girls take heavy damage or get knocked out in battle, their “impurity” increases. If you try entering Genocide Mode with high impurity, it puts them into Blood Skelter Mode. This mode powers them up similar to the Genocide Mode, but they get a different transformation and go in a berserk state where you can no longer control them as they attack friend and foe. Impurity can be purified with the protagonist Jack’s blood, but using too much of his blood results in passing out, so you’ll want to be careful with that.

Godly Prison Tower: Mary Skelter will release in Japan for PlayStation Vita on October 13, 2016.
