Re-Logic has provided an update on the status of Terraria: Otherworld and released new footage of it in action.

First off, Otherworld didn’t make its planned 2015 debut as it’s simply not ready, according to Re-Logic – “as we laid out in the beginning, we will only launch a game when we feel it meets our standards as a finished product,” writes the studio. “Terraria: Otherworld hasn’t reached that point yet, though very strong progress has been made.”

In order to give you something to chew on, however, Re-Logic has released a new video that details one of the latest additions to Otherworld – swing grappling. It allows you to traverse the world in a new and faster way, swinging from ceilings and walls, and then launching your character through the air.

Oh, and if you didn’t know, Terraria: Otherworld is described as a “spin-off game in the Terraria franchise that would seek to incorporate strong elements from the RPG and Tower Defense genres into the open-world sandbox of Terraria in order to craft what we termed ‘a sandbox with a purpose.’”
