Yoshinori Ono and Capcom had a busy weekend with the reveal of new character F.A.N.G., and the Capcom Cup 2015. Following this year’s PlayStation Experience, Ono shared more on Street Fighter V, his vision for the franchise, and more. [Thanks, Shoryuken.]

In the LiveCast Conversation video, Ono talks about how he sees Street Fighter as a “stadium” that can provide people the tools and venue to play and compete, rather than just a game.

Ono also shares his vision of the future with Street Fighter V: “Personal opinions aside, some players just get better and more skilled over time, which results in the game being dominated by elite players.”

“I therefore decided to make a Street Fighter from scratch to completely level this playing field and get people to discover who the best players are all over again,” explains Ono.

Street Fighter V will launch on PlayStation 4 and PC on February 16, 2016. You can get a look at the game’s latest trailer that showcases all 16 of the launch characters in our earlier report.
