Aksys has announced its next game. The company will release Langrisser Re:Incarnation Tensei, a strategic RPG for the Nintendo 3DS. Players will find allies, recruit mercenaries, and have the opportunity to do whatever it takes in a game that supposedly offers over 100 hours of gameplay.

In this installment, the player’s avatar wields the Langrisser sword and chooses to ally with one of three different factions, fighting for an imperial juggernaut, aiding the side of darkness, or participating in the war for the Goddess. People will be able to decide whether their actions will be righteous or villainous and will also have access to different paths that shape Langrisser Re:Incarnation Tensei’s story.

Langrisser Re:Incarnation Tensei will be only the second entry in the series to be released outside of Japan. The first was the original Langrisser, released here as Warsong in 1991 for the Sega Genesis. That means it will have been 25 years between Langrisser releases in North America.

Aksys will bring Langrisser Re:Incarnation Tensei to the Nintendo 3DS in Spring 2016.
