Dragon’s Dogma Online Launches In Japan On August 31st

Capcom’s upcoming free-to-play online action RPG, Dragon’s Dogma Online, will officially launch this August in Japan, the developers announced. More details were revealed during a recent event for the game. [Thanks, Game Jouhou.]

Before the game releases on August 31st, the above is a look at the schedule for the release, with the first closed beta test taking place from July 7th until the 15th for PS4, PS3, and PC. A second closed beta will take place on August 7th until the 10th.

 

On August 27th, the limited edition’s retail version will release, along with an early access period from the release date until the official service launch for all three platforms on August 31st.

Additionally, the above is a look at the “Nemesis” series of equipment that players will get their hands on by purchasing the retail version of Dragon’s Dogma Online.

The PlayStation 3 version will run the game at a 1280×720 resolution and up to 30fps while the PS4 will run it at 1920×1080 and up to 60fps. The PS3 will display up to 20 characters at a time within a 60m vicinity, while the PS4 version will show 80 characters at 100m.

 

The PS3 will run other textures and effects settings at a medium to high settings, while the PS4 will run them at high or highest settings.
