Earlier this morning, Bandai Namco Europe announced that Sword Art Online: Lost Song and Sword Art Online Re: Hollow Fragment is headed West for the PlayStation 4 and Vita. Japan will also get the enhanced versions of the game, and we have a trailer that shows it off.
The PlayStation 4 version of Sword Art Online: Lost Song for PlayStation 4 was announced for the West, and shortly after in Japan. For now, it seems like the PlayStation 4 version of Lost Song is mainly a version with upgraded graphics.
On the other hand, Sword Art Online Re: Hollow Fragment on PS4 has enhanced graphics, and will have some extra new content that will be revealed on a later date.
As previously reported, the Western version of Sword Art Online: Lost Song will be available at retail and digitally, with English, French, Italian, German, and Spanish subtitles when it releases this Fall for PlayStation 4 and Vita (at least in Europe).
Sword Art Online Re: Hollow Fragment will be available as a download title this Summer for PS4, and those who already own the PlayStation Vita version will get to transfer some items with their save data and unlock DLC at a later date.
Additionally, Bandai Namco shared a look at a new trailer for Sword Art Online: Lost Song’s upcoming major update that adds Seven and Lux as playable characters. The trailer also reveals a glimpse at some new episodes featuring Seven and Rain.
There will be new quests that involve giant enemy bosses, and also a new PvP event. You can check out our previous report to see Eir Aoi and the folks at Dengeki demonstrate some of its new features.
