Professor Teddie is back to teach us more about Atlus’ upcoming rhythm and dance game, Persona 4: Dancing All Night. In his latest lesson, he shows us some more of the basics with Unison and Hold Notes.
Teddie immediately begins his lessons with something called the “Unison Note”. As seen in the video, they’re basically purple notes that appear from the middle like all other notes, except these ones stretch and must be timed simultaneously with two buttons.
For those of you who’ve played rhythm games before, the “Hold Notes” are pretty self-explanatory. As the name implies, they’re basically notes that you press at the start of one end, and hold the button down until releasing it at the end of the opposite side of the bar.
Finally, the last part of the video demonstrates what it looks like to have all the notes in play that we’ve already seen thus far. Once you put them all together, it comes out looking pretty flashy and colorful.
You can check out our previous report, where Teddie showed off other basic features like the “Scratch” mechanic, Fever Rings, and how to get the audience pumped up using the Groovy Gauge.
Persona 4: Dancing All Night will release in Japan on June 25, 2015 for PlayStation Vita.
