Square Enix producer Yoshinori Kitase and writer Kazushige Nojima are working on the company’s next big smartphone game, Mevius Final Fantasy, which features classic jobs from the series, Moogles, and more. Here’s a first look at a video shown during GDC 2015.

To catch you up to speed, the story starts out with an amnesiac young man, who begins his adventure after being led by a mysterious voice. He’ll meet a Moogle that will help him out throughout the journey, and a mysterious girl trapped in a giant crystal.

As far as battles go, they’re quite simple and revolve around doing combos using the touchscreen and accumulating “Element” by hitting enemies, then using them to perform abilities. You can read more about the gameplay in our earlier report.

Mevius Final Fantasy is expected to launch in Japan sometime in Spring 2015 for Android and iOS.
