Nintendo have shared life-to-date sales figures for some of their more popular Nintendo 3DS and Wii U games, as of December 31st, 2014. Here’s a look:

 

Nintendo 3DS game sales:

  • Pokémon X/Y – 13.70 million
  • Mario Kart 7 – 11.42 million
  • Pokémon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire – 9.35 million
  • New Super Mario Bros. 2 – 9.01 million
  • Animal Crossing: New Leaf – 8.73 million
  • Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS – 6.19 million
  • Tomodachi Life – 3.96 million
  • Kirby: Triple Deluxe – 1.70 million

 

Wii U game sales:

  • Mario Kart 8 – 4.77 million
  • Nintendo Land – 4.44 million
  • Super Mario 3D World – 3.79 million
  • Super Smash Bros. for Wii U – 3.39 million

 

Nintendo’s financial results briefing was supposed to take place today, but the company announced over Twitter that president Satoru Iwata has fallen ill (with influenza suspected to be the culprit) and that briefing has been postponed.
