Now that their crowdfunder has ended, WayForward have posted an update to their Shantae: Half-Genie Hero Kickstarter page, sharing details on how much funding they have received for the game through their Kickstarter and PayPal campaigns combined.

WayForward originally set their Kickstarter goal at $400,000. What they ended up with was $776,084 across 18,558 backers. Meanwhile, the studio also opened a PayPal store, through which they saw an additional $171,853 across 2,974 backers. That brings total funding to $947,937 across 21,532 backers.

Effectively, this means Half-Genie Hero will be twice the size originally intended. It will have five chapters (instead of 3), plus intro and ending stages. It will also let you play as Shantae, Risky Boots, Sky, Bolo and Rottytops. Additionally, Shantae will get Ninja, Beach wear and Patty Wagon outfits.

Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse is in development for PC, Wii U, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita.
