Final Fantasy XV Might Have The Series’ First Female Cid

Final Fantasy XV director Hajime Tabata said himself that the theme behind Final Fantasy XV is “bromance” between Noctis, his friends, and the royal car. The latest issue of Jump magazine introduces one character that isn’t a bro, and she looks like she could be Cid. [Thanks, Game Jouhou]

As seen at the bottom-left of the scan, there’s a female character wearing a pair of goggles. While it doesn’t specifically mention her as “Cid,” it does say tht she’s a female mechanic who doesn’t mind getting dirty with oil, and it does sound quite a lot like Cid when you think of goggles plus mechanic.

Of course, she could just end up being someone entirely different.

The magazine also shows Noctis fighting a giant monster, Titan, looking like he’s about to stomp over the protagonist. We also get a look at Noctis and Co. cruising around town in their car, which is said to have some kind of secret behind it.
