Nexon’s Ghost in the Shell Online game is still alive. The company released a trailer for the game at G-STAR 2014, an annual game exhibition that takes place in Busan, Korea. Nexon are presenting a number of games at the event, and Ghost in the Shell is one of them.

The Ghost in the Shell MMORPG is based specifically on the Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex anime universe, and was expected to launch in the first half of 2014, but obviously that didn’t happen. The game is an online first-person shooter, and the last time Nexon talked about it—which was over a year ago—they said it would “integrate artificial intelligence with the player” in some sort of co-op battle mode.

Ghost in the Shell Online went into development after Nexon and Kodansha signed an agreement in 2012 to create games based on the Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex universe. Last we heard, the agreement gives Nexon access to content from Stand Alone Complex, 2nd Gig and Solid State Society. We’ll have more details of the game as they’re made available.
