Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn’s patch 2.4 update is just around the corner, and in addition to the Rogue and Ninja job classes and the fight against Shiva, the Binding Coil of Bahamut’s finalé to this part of the game is something else to look forward to. Famitsu shares a few details on what to expect.

Binding Coil of Bahamut, considered to be the game’s most difficult content for end-game players, is finally coming to an end in the upcoming patch. While not much is known about it, it is said that the story of what happened to Bahamut after the events five years prior, will be unraveled.

The above shows an image of what looks to be some sort of battlefield floating in the middle of the area. If you look closely, there seem to be some sort of living organisms in the background as well.

The Dalamud was one of the two smaller moons orbiting Hydaelyn in Final Fantasy XIV. This moon was originally white, but changed to red and grew by the day, and eventually affected sea currents, crops, and monsters of Eorzea.

When the world came to an “end” in version 1.0, Bahamut was shown emerging from Dalamud. It appears as though players will go inside Dalamud in the upcoming Binding Coil epsiodes, and will learn more about the history of Eorzea.

The brother and sister in Alphinaud and Alisaie Leveilleur will once again play a big role in the story. While much about these two characters remains a mystery, we’ll find out more about their background in the final chapters of The Binding Coil of Bahamut.

Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn’s 2.4 update is expected to launch later this month.
