Johnny Cage And Sonya Had A Daughter, And She’s Playable In Mortal Kombat X

One of the new characters in Mortal Kombat X is Cassie Cage, the daughter of Johnny Cage and Sonya Blade. Cassie will use a combination of both characters’ moves, according to Ed Boon, who discussed the game with the PlayStation Blog.

Boon also revealed another new character—D’Vorah, a half-human, half-insect female character. You’ll get to see her taking Scorpion on in the video above. A third new character is Ferra/Torr, which is a small lady riding atop a hulking brute.

Speaking of Scorpion, Mortal Kombat X gives each character three variations with different playstyles. Scorpion’s three variations are Ninjutstu, Hellfire and Inferno.

Boon confirmed that Mortal Kombat X takes place after the events of Mortal Kombat 9, and the story goes 25 years into the future, so you’ll get to see some characters that age during the story.

Mortal Kombat X is in development for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. It’s scheduled for release in 2015.
