Gundam continues to be a lucrative money-maker for Namco Bandai. Case in point: Mobile Suit Gundam Extreme Vs. Full Boost sold nearly 270,000 copies in its first week on store shelves, debuting at the #1 spot in the software sales chart.

At #2 was Diablo III, which Square Enix published in Japan. The game sold close to 42,000 copies in its first week. Not far behind it was Disgaea 4 Return for the Vita, at nearly 34,000 copies sold.

Also released last week was Imageepoch’s Toshin Toshi, which sold 23,000 copies.

Finally, it would appear the announcement of Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate (titled Monster Hunter 4G in Japan) has done little to dissuade people from buying the regular version of Monster Hunter 4 so far. The game sold over 7,000 copies last week. Being able to carry save data over to the updated edition helps in that regard.
