Famitsu has a tease about an interview with Masahiko Tokushima from B.B. Studio and Ken Kuwahara from Namco Bandai games in this week’s issue. Tokushima has been involved with the Gundam series for a long time and the two last worked together on Mobile Suit Gundam: Battle Operation.

Before Tekken Revolution and Namco Bandai’s PS3 freemium explosion, they tested the waters with Mobile Suit Gundam: Battle Operation in Japan. Players have a limited amount of sortie energy they use to take on missions. This recovers over time or you can purchase additional sortie energy kind of like inserting a quarter to continue an arcade game. The free to play PlayStation 3 game was a massive success which is why we have titles like Soulcalibur: Lost Swords.

Could the two be working on a sequel to Mobile Suit Gundam: Battle Operation? Namco teased a new Gundam project for PlayStation 4 too, but haven’t said anything about that either.
