Shantae: Risky’s Revenge, originally released for Nintendo DSiWare, is coming to PC via Steam. WayForward Technologies recently reported that they’re at work on the PC version of the game, slated for release in 2014.

The PC version will tentatively be called Shantae: Risky’s Revenge Director’ Cut, as the game will include the “best parts” of the original DSiWare version along with some of the updates included in the iOS version.

Shantae: Risky’s Revenge is planned for Steam release in the second quarter of 2014.

In the meantime, WayForward are also developing Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse for Nintendo 3DS, which they say is “nearing the finish line,” adding that “By the time the last snowfall of Winter melts you should all be happily enjoying a brand new adventure in Sequin Land!”

Finally, also in development is Shantae: Half-Genie Hero for PC and consoles.
