Square Enix is further pushing Bravely Default with a crossover into Road to Dragons, an RPG made by Akiba’s Trip developer Acquire. Tiz Arrior and Agnes Oblige both show up in the game with different jobs.
Tiz brings the freelancer, black mage, and thief jobs.
Freelancer has Elixir as an active skill and light element damage reduction as a party skill.
Black Mage has Dark as an active skill and rod knowledge as a party skill.
Thief has Heart Stealer as an active ability and swiftness a party skill.
Agnes has freelancer, performer, and valkyrie classes.
Freelancer has Elixir as an active skill and dark element damage reduction as a party skill.
Superstar has Power of Love as an active skill and Voltage as a party skill.
Valkyrie has Jump as an active skill and spear knowledge as a party skill.
Having a crossover means there is enough interest in Bravely Default to draw fans of that game to Road to Dragons and in return Road to Dragons players will find out about the Nintendo 3DS game. In a perfect world, this would grow both series and in particular to Bravely Default it shows Square Enix’s new series has legs.
