We recently got a look at a new Kingdom Hearts III trailer during Disney’s D23 Expo event, that showed off action scenes that incorporate Disney rides, like a spinning pirate ship and Big Magic Mountain. This week’s issue of Famitsu shares some new details on the game.
In Kingdom Hearts III, Sora’s new skills will all have two systems: one that involves a transforming Keyblade, and the other will involve attraction park rides, as seen in the latest trailer.
For the Keyblade transforming feature, not only does it change the appearance of the weapon, but it also changes the style of how it’s used.
Meanwhile, the attraction park ride features are considered an evolved version of Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance’s Freeflow Action, which will allow you to attack nearby enemies with various skills that correspond to the attraction ride. While active, Sora will automatically perform the attacks on his own. These actions will be a big part of Kingdom Hearts III.
Additionally, the magazine reports that Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix will more polished compared to Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 Remix, and Square Enix are currently putting in their best efforts in that regard.
Kingdom Hearts III is currently in development for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
