Last week, we got a tease of Drakengard 3’s air battles, where protagonist Zero will be mounting her fire-breathing friend, Mikhail, to dominate fights from above. 4Gamer gives us another look at some of the aerial action we’ll be seeing in the game.
Mikhail’s breath attacks will have a lock-on feature, which will also make it possible to target multiple foes at once. Additionally, Zero will also be able to activate her deadly “Utautai Mode” while riding Mikhail as well, which further increases the destructive power of the breath attacks.
There will be some aerial enemies capable of launching huge boulders at Zero and Mikhail, so you’ll be required to use some evasive maneuvers to dodge them.
Drakengard 3 is slated for release on December 19 for PlayStation 3.
