J Legend Biography is a collection of retro Dragon Ball, Saint Seiya, and other anime video games. None of these games were released on Virtual Console or any other digital platform probably because of licensing agreements. But, you can play Dragon Ball Z: Assault! Super Saiyan, a 2D Dragon Ball fighting game released late into the Famicom’s life cycle again
All of the games in J Legend Biography have been faithfully reproduced so any tricks you remember will work on 3DS. And for people that haven’t played Go Go Ackman 3 or any other game in the compilation before J Legend Biography has a hint option which shows tips on the bottom of the screen.
Namco Bandai also added a quick save feature, but you only have two quick saves. One is for all of the Famicom games and the other is for all of the Super Famicom games (and so far that’s only Go Go Ackman 3). So, if you have a Dragon Ball: Mystery of Shenlong quick save and then quick save while playing Dragon Ball: Great Demon King’s Revival you’ll lose the Mystery of Shenlong quicksave.
J Legend Biography comes out on November 7 for Nintendo 3DS in Japan.
