Hometown Story takes place in the town your character grew up in. Following the passing of your grandmother, you take over her shop and begin to rebuild it from its run down state. You’ll be accompanied by a magical sprite named Pochica, who will help you get the store back in shape, and introduce you to the other characters living in the town.

Hometown Story’s character designs are done by Atsuko Nishida, the lady behind a number of Pokémon designs, including Pikachu as well as Ash, Misty and Brock from the Pokémon anime series. Meanwhile, the game’s soundtrack is being composed by Nobuo Uematsu, known for his work on Final Fantasy and The Last Story.

Hometown Story will be published in North America this fall by Natsume. Rising Star Games will be publishing the game in Europe.
