Date A Live: Rinne Utopia Is Sting’s Simplest Game Yet

Sting is known for making games that lean towards a difficult learning curve. I think that’s part of what makes Baroque, Hexyz Force, and Knights in the Nightmare fun to figure out. Recently, Sting has been working with Idea Factory and Compile Heart. Generation of Chaos: Pandora’s Reflection was essentially the DS/mobile phone game Yggdra Unison. Sting even said that to us when we talked to them.

Date A Live: Rinne Utopia is a project from Sting and Compile Heart based on the anime series of the same name. Players will date girls and… that’s it. Compile Heart revealed the only gameplay system which is picking which girl you want to talk to on either the city map or Raizen High School map. There are also movies of characters closing their eyes and breathing so they look more realistic.

Date A Live: Rinne Utopia comes out on June 27. Now that Sting is almost done with this hopefully we’ll see them return to the Dept. Heaven series.
