Square Enix and DeNA are bringing social game, Final Fantasy Brigade, to the U.S. Titled Final Fantasy: Airborne Brigade, the game will be released for free on iOS and Android devices.

Final Fantasy: Airborn Brigade takes place in an ancient kingdom, responsible for guarding crystals, which is invaded by monsters. Each player rides an airship and players can form groups called airborne brigades to fight bosses together. The goal is to restore to lustre of the crystals, which have lost their radiance.

What bosses? Ifrit, Shiva, Bahamut, and Odin are all in the game. Each player gains experience and levels up as you go along, and there’s a PvP element in the game, too, where your party can fight your friends.

Square Enix say Final Fantasy: Airborne Brigade is coming “soon”. If you pre-register for the game (which you can do here), you’ll be notified by e-mail when it is released, and receive a free three-month exclusive in-game card featuring Cloud from Final Fantasy VII.
