Skullgirls has a free update patch on the PlayStation Network today, with an Xbox Live patch to follow at a later date. The patch, according to Reverge, includes over 300 improvements and tweaks to the game.
Official patch notes will be made available by Reverge later, but Mike Zaimont, the game’s project lead, posted early detailed patch notes on the Shoryuken.com forums a few months ago for the Skullgirls community to peruse. You can find those here.
From the patch notes on the Shoryuken forums, some of the changes include:
Re-balanced AI difficulty.
3% game speed increase. (Does not affect frame data)
Added Tournament Mode.
U.S. and European versions now compatible against each other.
Improved loading times on Xbox 360.
Matchmaking includes Australia, Central/South America, Brazil, Gulf Coast, more.
Far more extensive patch notes can be found at the link above.
A big thanks to Siliconera reader, Sai, for the heads up!
