Street Fighter X Tekken 2013 Patch Makes Recoverable Health Clearer & Other Tweaks

Capcom is preparing a major balance patch for Street Fighter X Tekken scheduled for release in mid-December. The 2013 version update is not a "Super" version of the game, it’s like the Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition 2012 update. Oh, did we mention it’s free?

One tweak is recoverable health is easier to see. Street Fighter X Tekken 2013 version makes this red (right) compared to light yellow in the current version (left).

Characters glow less after activating gems too. Street Fighter X Tekken 2013 version is on the right.

Other tweaks will speed up fights like shortening the length of the Fight graphic and speeding up the camera when a player does a Boost Combo.

Life recovery speed has been fine tuned so there are less time over situations. Throw start up animations have been adjusted from seven frames to five frames.

All of the Tekken characters are having their anti-air attack moves adjusted too. If you hit an opponent in the air you can juggle them similar to how you would in the Tekken games.

For character specific tweaks, Ken’s Shippy Jinraikyaku has extended range and damage. Kazuya’s EX Wind God Fist now makes him invincible for the duration of the attack. M Bison’s Knee Press Nightmare grants invincibility to projectiles. Bob and Paul are overall faster in Street Fighter X Tekken 2013 edition.
