On top of Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 and JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All Star Battle, CyberConnect2 is developing Guilty Dragon for Android and iOS.
"We are producing a game called Guilty Dragon for smartphones and it will be released soon in Japan. We have about 200 people on our staff so we are able to work on a lot of titles," said Hiroshi Matsuyama, CEO of CyberConnect2, dressed in a Sage Naruto costume. Siliconera asked Matsuyama about the development of Guilty Dragon during a pre-Tokyo Game Show event.
"The pro about a smartphone app is that you can play it wherever you want. Therefore, it is a very different approach in development than I’ve had experience with. By the way, the engine I’m using is Unity," Matsuyama commented.
"After we release in Japan we will release Guilty Dragon in America and Europe," announced Matsuyama. This is the first time Matsuyama discussed a Western release of Guilty Dragon. Guilty Dragon has a connection to the .hack series. Many of the games cards look like .hack characters too, but Matsuyama was careful not to reveal the link between the two games yet.
Guilty Dragon will be available for iOS and Android. If you haven’t seen it before check out a video of the game here.
