So You Think Yakuza Can Dance? Let’s See Haruka’s Dance Battle System

Haruka Sawamura isn’t a little girl anymore. She moved to Osaka in Yakuza 5 and is training to become an idol. Haruka has battles too – dance battles.

Jazz, hip hop, house, rock, and idol style dancers are waiting in town for you to challenge them. Talk to a dancer to initiate a battle.

Dance battles are like a rhythm game where you hit notes. If you’re on beat Haruka will do a flashy move, which gives Dance Battles a feeling like an action game. Haruka also has a Dance Heat move that can reverse a battle. Just like other characters you need to fill up a gauge to use a Dance Heat… which hits judges with Haruka’s cuteness.

Win a dance battle and you can train Haruka in idol ability or her power of expression. Improving her idol ability is key if you want Haruka to become a member of Princess League.

Yakuza 5 is slated for release this December as a PlayStation 3 title.
