Ninja Gaiden 3 has a multiplayer mode and unlike Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 it’s a deathmatch style. Before online battles begin, Team Ninja has players create their own shinobi. You can choose your character’s voice, armor, headgear, and kanji to affix to your outfit.
While you aren’t Ryu, your custom ninja is a killing machine who can turn invisible and Falcon Dive into a fight. You can play Ninja Gaiden 3’s online mode with friends and you can also betray them. In fact, that’s part of the game. What happens if you get caught? Instead of letting another player kill you and add to their score you can commit harikiri.

These screenshots are from the game’s cutscenes. Cliff is the man wearing a beanie and Lovelace is the woman scowling at Ryu. Ninja Gaiden 3 is slated for release on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in March.
