In October, Nintendo revealed that their next 3D Classics title for the Nintendo 3DS would be 3D Classics: Kid Icarus. The game was announced alongside a special Club Nintendo promotion in Japan, where members could register two Nintendo 3DS games by January 15th and receive 3D Classics: Kid Icarus as a reward.
Nintendo of Europe are carrying this campaign out as well. If you register any two of the following Nintendo 3DS games by January 31st, you’ll receive a code to download 3D Classics: Kid Icarus for free, from January 5th onwards:
- Resident Evil: Revelations
- Mario Kart 7
- Super Pokémon Rumble
- SUPER MARIO 3D LAND™
- Tetris
- Star Fox 64 3D
- Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D
- The Legend of Zelda : Ocarina of Time 3D
- Dead or Alive: Dimensions
- Steel Diver
- nintendogs + cats
- Pilotwings Resort
- Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition
Additionally, once you register your two games, you’ll also be entered into a draw to win one of 3,000 limited edition Mario, Peach and Toad-themed Nintendo 3DS systems. To increase your chances of winning, you’re allowed to enter up to five times (which means registering 10 games) and there are 1,000 Mario, 1,000 Princess Peach and 1,000 Toad systems to be won.
This is the same promotion that was conducted in Japan as well, where 3D Classics: Kid Icarus was a “consolation” prize, and the real prize was one of the three limited edition 3DS systems. Check Club Nintendo Europe for more details.
