Portuguese games site, MyGames, interviewed Zelda series producer, Eiji Aonuma, and snuck in a question about the next 3DS Zelda game, and the possibility of a Majora’s Mask remake.

With regard to the next 3DS Zelda, Aonuma says that the game is in development, and will not be a sequel to the Zelda games on the Nintendo DS. That means it won’t be connected to Phantom Hourglass or Spirit Tracks.

In a previous interview, Aonuma hinted that “having 3D will mean something” in the 3DS Zelda game.

Speaking to a remake of Majora’s Mask on the 3DS, Aonuma says that it’s something he’s discussed with Miyamoto, but that they didn’t think it would be right to release another remake right after Ocarina of Time 3D. They are, however, considering the idea.
